FOWEK PROGRAMME INITIATIVE
We equip women entrepreneurs with the knowledge, skills and resources to strengthen their businesses, improve competitiveness and pursue sustainable growth. The programme includes BIAYWE, business trainings, webinars, mentorship, entrepreneurship development and other capacity-building initiatives.
FOWEK designs its capacity-building work around what women entrepreneurs need to run and grow their businesses, not around generic training. Learning is practical and applied, and it is supported by mentorship so that members have guidance as they put it into practice.
By combining structured incubation, trainings and peer-to-peer learning, FOWEK helps women-led enterprises become stronger, more competitive and better prepared for growth.
This programme serves women who are building or growing a business:
Women Entrepreneurs: Women at different stages of business who want to strengthen their skills, knowledge and access to resources.
Women-Led Enterprises: Businesses seeking to improve their competitiveness and pursue sustainable growth.
FOWEK Members: Members looking for practical learning and mentorship as part of the FOWEK community.
FOWEK delivers capacity building through a mix of learning and support formats:
Business Incubation (BIAYWE): Structured business incubation delivered with KIRDI and COMFWB, supported by AUDA-NEPAD and AECID.
Trainings and Webinars: Practical sessions that build business knowledge and skills.
Mentorship: Guidance from experienced people to support entrepreneurs as they apply what they learn.
Entrepreneurship Development: Initiatives that build the skills and confidence to start, run and grow a business.
