The one morning of the year when the whole federation is in the same room. Business connection over breakfast, a trade bazaar where members sell to each other and to buyers, a panel of people who have actually built something, and the Sterling Awards, where we stop and name the women who had a remarkable year.
Last year over 100 women entrepreneurs, government leaders and development partners filled the Trademark Hotel. The Principal Secretary for the State Department for Trade gave the keynote. Four women went home with a Sterling Award.

Structured matchmaking rooms connecting Kenyan women entrepreneurs with buyers across Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, including hosting visiting in-person trade delegations.
As Kenya’s official COMFWB chapter, FOWEK leads Kenyan delegations to the annual regional trade fair across member states. High-level exhibitions, B2B dealmaking, and trade integration.
MEMBERSHIP ROI
Member rates apply to almost everything we run. Webinars are free to members. Workshops and evening sessions are discounted. Members get first notice when a session has limited places, priority registration for conferences, and invitations to the rooms that are not open to everyone, including the regional trade delegations.
If you have been to two or three FOWEK events this year, membership has probably already paid for itself.
Our events bring together women entrepreneurs, government leaders, development partners and regional delegations. Organisations partner with us to speak, sponsor a session, exhibit at the President’s Breakfast trade bazaar, or run joint trainings.
